Therese's POV - Although we have told people we met through a mutual friend from Facebook, we actually met on a dating app. Who knew that swiping right would change our lives forever?! We were texting for some quite time before we could meet in person, since I was in nursing school and always made an excuse that I was busy. I finally agreed to meet on a Saturday night in my hometown of Tracy, but I had a paper due at midnight and I thought I could finish it early. A few hours before our date, I realized I was not going to finish on time, so I asked to raincheck. However, Angelo was persistent and drove from Fremont to Tracy to meet me despite my objections. I was in disbelief that Angelo waited for me for three hours that night, but that's when I knew he was someone special.

Angelo’s POV - We were scheduled to fly out to Japan for vacation, and I could’ve proposed there, but I knew I was going to spend the entire trip worrying about losing the ring overseas. Instead, I thought it would be a good idea to propose at the gazebo by the lake where I asked her to be my girlfriend a few years back. I had our friend Matt hide out nearby to take pictures. I also had to run my ideas by her BFF Angela, to make sure Therese gets the proposal she deserves. The whole experience was a big blur; I don’t remember the little details very well. I do, however, remember exactly how I felt. I had never been more confident, and excited in my whole life. Hearing her say “yes” was like hearing the bell at the end of the school year as a kid. I can’t wait to share my life with her! P.S. You’re probably going to order the steak, but if I were you, I’d go with the mahi mahi with coconut rice and mango salsa!
