We actually met and dated 16 years ago when we were in our early 20’s, and the only picture of us together (from a digital camera believe it or not!) is us attending a wedding together. Both being young with a lot in life to figure out, our lives led us in very different directions. John lived in South Carolina for over 10 years, during which he was married and had 2 beautiful daughters. Addyson is 13 and Caroline is 11. Courtney remained local and hopeful that she would eventually find her person. Then, 14 years later, life brought us back together when we least expected it and exactly when it was supposed to. John “reached out” on Facebook (twice as Courtney enjoys pointing out), and eventually, a rendezvous was set. Without any expectations, we simply just wanted to see one another again. All it took was that one night and a mutual feeling that everything finally felt right.
