We go here to ride bikes, have bible study, work out, take a deep breath and feed the ducks, there is also a lock bridge here see if you can find it ;) This is safe at night with a buddy, it is well lit up and patrolled. **HACK: Anywhere you park please make sure to pay as the city of Houston does go around and check if your parking payment is paid. Use this address: 150 Sabine St, Houston, TX 77007. If you follow this address you will find yourself at an apartment complex directly across from Buffalo Bayou with free parking and bike rentals upfront! During the day there is food trucks, have fun!
Here they have a train that goes around the park, Japanese Gardens, Art in the Park, and more fun. If you love to take pictures or need a new profile pic this is definitely the place! If you are going to the Houston Zoo, stop here because it is on your way.
If you're needing a last minute gift *wink* you will find anything here at The Galleria, it is the BIGGEST mall in Texas! Luis and I mainly go here to Ice Skate for fun and get all our gifts here during Christmas Time. The parking can be annoying, if you are coming to visit during the week plan this to be visited early day as weekends are a bit hectic. Have fun! They have everythingggg here!
Driving in downtown Houston you'll see this ferris wheel light up at night! You can tour the aquarium inside, take pictures, or sit down and have dinner next to the aquarium.
If you will be staying at a hotel near the venue (Tomball), Space Center is located in the South East part of Houston. It will be a bit of a drive but we felt if we didn't put this in the recommendations we'd be bad Houstonians! This is a great place to see history and take pictures, it has been a long time since Britt has been and Luis has never been so if you decide to visit this place let us know how it goes! Also, Kemah is also in the same area which would be a great place for dinner or lunch. Google: Kemah Boardwalk
Perfect for foodies and photographers! This is a new event hall in downtown Houston, here you will find food, events going on such as; zumba, boxing, dance lessons, and concerts. They also have a small art exhibit and at the very top is a beautiful view of Houston, this is a great date night spot and at night it is just as beautiful! There is paid parking and free parking during a certain time, visit the link to the website to see what you'll be in for: https://www.posthtx.com/
This is our favorite ramen spot! It is anime themed, their prices are fair with the amount of food they serve, the parking lot is a little crappy but the food is amazing. (Check out their Instagram)
We love the burger joint! Their shakes are 10/10, prices are fair, parking is okay, and the wait times are not horrible, but this place is an outdoor setting only (Search them on instagram!)
More ramen please! This place is an all you can eat hotpot, you are given a soup base and you control the temperature of your food right from your table. The buffet has noodles, veggies, seafood, and proteins are ordered to your table like wagyu beef. This restaurant is located in China Town, so exploring here wont get boring after your meal
This place is the best BBQ we've ever had! Everything from here is amazing, we have not been to the location listed but it is the closest to anyone staying at a hotel near our venue. Go with an empty stomach because you'll want to try everything, and make sure to taste all of the BBQ sauces on the table
If you like steakhouses like our pastor does, give this place a shot. We have been here to try it out, it is not buffet like Chama Gaucha but more of a Perry's Steakhouse setting. The prices are available on their website, the service is great, and the food is yummy!
Live band, indoor/outdoor, and the food comes in big portions! We have had birthday gatherings here with friends and we never leave disappointed. The only thing that we don't like is the parking, you must pay for valet unless you're lucky enough to find a parking spot
