Question

What are the COVID guidelines for the trip?

Answer

We care for the safety of all of our guests so we kindly request a negative COVID test within 72 hours of travel to Mexico. When traveling back to the USA, all guests regardless of their vaccination status must have an original printed or electronic negative COVID-19 viral test result. The antigen test is included with your stay, MAKE SURE TO SCHEDULE IT UPON ARRIVAL. You will be given a free coupon to present in the sample collection area. The test must also clearly state that the results are "negative." The test must be taken a maximum of 1 day before the first scheduled departure time in the flight itinerary (if your flight is 1pm or earlier on the date of departure, travelers could board with a COVID-19 negative test that was taken any time on the prior day). If your flight is after 1pm on the date of departure, your test is required within 24hrs. Test results must include the traveler's full name and at least one other identifier such as date of birth or passport number.

Does Mexico charge any mandatory governmental fees?

Answer

Several Municipalities in Cancun, Riviera Maya and Isla Mujeres have enacted an Environmental Tax to help maintain beaches and ecosystems. This tax is not included in any packages and therefore may be assessed directly by the hotel upon check out. The cost of the tax is approximately $1.30 USD, per night, per room. There is also a new Cancun Tourism Tax: Effective April 1, 2021, arriving international visitors to the Cancun (CUN) airport will be required to pay $11 for the privilege of visiting Cancun and surrounding areas. ​​

What should I wear?

Answer

We request that guests wear formal attire to the ceremony and dress appropriately with respect to the church we will be praying in. The reception will be held on the beach so feel free to change into something more comfortable to get your groove on.

Beach reception? So what shoes should I wear??

Answer

Although the reception will be held on the beach, wedges can be worn without the fear of sinking into the sand. Feel free to wear dress shoes, sandals, or open toed shoes. It's up to you: you can wear whatever you find comfortable (.....except Crocs ;) ) The ceremony will be held in a church so feel free to wear heels but pointed heels are not recommended for the beach reception.

When is the deadline to RSVP?

Answer

If booking with our travel agent, the deadline to RSVP is October 1, 2021. If you are booking on your own, the deadline to RSVP is December 17, 2021.

What are the suggested travel dates?

Answer

We want nothing more than for our friends and family to enjoy their VACATION :) . Please feel free to arrive as early in advance as you'd like and stay at the resort for as long as you'd like. Enjoy yourself, and VACATION :)

If you decide to book with the travel agent, Hola Weddings: Deposit Due: $200 per room - Anytime before October 1 Second Deposit Due: $250 per room - Anytime before October 22 Final Balance Due: Anytime before November 22

What is the cancellation policy?

Answer

If you decide to book with the travel agent, Hola Weddings: Rooms are 100% refundable before October 21 . From October 22 until December 21, there is a 2-night cancellation penalty, based on your room category. Final balances are due November 21. We strongly recommend that each guest purchases Trip Protection from any trusted supplier.

What does “All-Inclusive mean”?

Answer

All-Inclusive resorts offer: All you can eat (gourmet restaurants and buffets), All you can drink (alcohol, mixed drinks, daiquiris, and non-alcoholic beverages), Entertainment (the resort will have daily and nightly activities including shows and a night club), Water Sports (kayaking, paddle boarding, and other non-motorized water sports are typically included), Room Service includes 24-hour room service of food.

How do I purchase travel protection?

Answer

We recommend booking travel protection along with your itinerary. This travel protection plan must be purchased within one week of booking your room. Please contact Hola Weddings for travel protection plans.

When is the final payment due?

Answer

If you decide to book with the travel agent, Hola Weddings: All final payments are due November 21.

What is the best way to find good flight deals?

Answer

We suggest setting up flight alerts. Our favorite is Google flights because it includes a wider range of airlines. Use search engines to find the best deal, but remember to book the flight itself directly via the airline to maximize your flexibility if your plans were to change.

Which airport I should arrive/depart?

Answer

When searching for flights, the airport you are flying to is Cancun International Airport (CUN).

How do I get from the airport to the resort?

Answer

If you decide to book with the travel agent, Hola Weddings: Round-trip, non-stop transportation will be provided at a cost of $109 PER ROOM. If you are alone in the room, the cost will be $55. This price will be included in your room price when booking with Hola Weddings. If you book outside the travel agent, please find a safe and reliable company to bring you from the airport to the resort and back. The hotel is approximately an hour away from the airport.

Do I need to have my passport prior to making my deposit for the trip?

Answer

Passports are required at the time of travel. As long as you provide the travel agency with your full legal name, you can arrange travel in advance. Instructions to apply for passports can be found here. Please allow 8-12 weeks for standard passport applications to process following your scheduled appointment with a passport "acceptance facility". If you do not obtain your passport prior to travel, you are responsible for any associated cancellation fees.

Will there be time to change between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Yes there will be! There will be a couple of hours between the end of the ceremony and the start of the reception. But don't worry - you won't have to travel far at all. The church and reception are all located on the resort so you won't have to worry about getting caught in NY/FL traffic.

Can I bring a guest or guests with me?

Answer

Since we are limited on the amount of guests who can attend our very intimate wedding, the event is invitation-only.

Will there be a babysitter?

Answer

Yes but there is no service for kids under the age of 1 year old. The babysitter service has a charge of 15 USD PER HOUR PER KID. Payment shall be in cash directly to the babysitter right after the service. • It will not be allowed to be more than 3 kids under one babysitter if two of them are younger than 6. • The parents have to inform the babysitter where they are going to be and make sure there is a way to contact them in case of an emergency. • The cancellation policy is of at least 12 hours previous to the service. • If the guest cancels after the 12 hours and the babysitter is already on site or on her way, the guest will have to cover the first hour of service (15 USD) • The babysitter is not allowed to administer medicines and will not be held responsible for kids suffering any kind of physical or mental sickness. • The babysitter is not allowed to take the kids into the pool or beach area. • If the service is performed at night, it will have to be inside the room.
