We met in 2006 during a rehearsal for the school musical. We were on a rolling staircase that started to move without warning. Madison, who was at the top of the stairs, said some unsavory words and Adam, laughing, looked up from a few stairs down to see who the girl with the mouth of a sailor was. When he looked up, he saw the girl who had the mouth of a sailor but the looks of a goddess. From then on he knew, the goddess with the foul mouth would be the one for him. We dated through the rest of the school year and the summer, but begrudgingly went our separate ways in the fall. Over the next 12 years, we would stay in fairly close contact, always hoping that the other would be single at the same time and always being disappointed. In June 2018, Madison was performing in a concert at the Kenley Amphitheater in Layton, UT. When she walked in, the first person she saw was the incredibly handsome man that made her heart start to race. Witty banter was exchanged, but we knew that wasn't the end. The next day, Madison texted Adam a completely phony "I can't believe I forgot your birthday!" which had actually been about 3 weeks before and never really acknowledged in the past. Adam saw through it in an instant, but played along. He finally got up the courage to ask her to dinner to catch up and came over for dinner and a movie a week later. The rest is history! We fell back into being 100% comfortable with each other. We moved in together 2 months later and were engaged within 6 months. We both always hoped and wished that we would find our ways back to each other. Would you believe it? Wishes really can come true!
