We met through mutual friends. Emily's friend from high school asked her if she wanted to go on a party bus for her co-worker's dog's birthday party. Zach was a mutual friend of the co-worker and was on the party bus as well. We started talking at the first stop and we have been dating ever since! A week later Zach took Emily out on their first date to Pazzaluna. Emily later found out the party bus was supposed to be for a friend's going away party, however, the friend moved away the week before the party. That friend is the current Best Man.

Zach surprised Emily with tickets to see a play at the Guthrie over Christmas. He planned a romantic evening out which included dinner, our favorite bottle of wine and then the play. When the play was over, he suggested we take a stroll through Gold Medal Park as all the lights on the trees were lit up for Christmas. As we rounded the corner, Zach got down on one knee and asked Emily to marry him! We celebrated by grabbing dessert and champagne at Edward's Dessert Kitchen and the Hewing!
