Matron of Honor
Breanne came into the world just 3 weeks after I was born, and has been my bestie since day one! She is the Yin to my Yang, and our personalities/interests compliment each other so well! She has the biggest heart, and has a work ethic and drive to aspire for. I don't know what I would do without her and I am so grateful to have her as my Matron of Honor. She is a badass miracle worker! I couldn't have asked for a better human to be standing beside me as I say "I do"
Bridesmaid
One of my best friends from High-School and still today. Many of my memories with her, I still bust up laughing thinking about. This woman has no shame in speaking her mind or standing up for something she believes in and I love that about her. She's an incredible mother to Lydia and I love watching her grow up and blossom into who she's becoming. I can't wait to share this special moment with her!
Bridesmaid
When Taylor and I first met, she didn't like me because of a silly boy, but my kindness quickly won her over and we've been close ever since. Her, Amanda and I were a force to reckon with and made countless lifelong memories that i'll never forget. Always speaks her mind, is an incredible friend and mother to Owen, and I couldn't imagine getting married without her by my side.
Bridesmaid
Ciara sees the world the same way I do, and is my earth child who loves all things nature. I'm inspired by her yoga practice and advocacy work she does for the LGBTQIA Community. She has a heart of gold and I always enjoy my time spent with her. Ciara is married to Nicholas, who is in Andrew's wedding party. I may have just met Ciara a few years ago, but I feel like I have known her a lifetime, and wouldn't want to get married without her by my side!
Bridesman
One of my best friends from high school, Tolo date, and my weekend/ yoga buddy today. Jeffrey has always been someone I can be myself with, and he was one of my first friends after moving to Arlington before Freshman year. He's intelligent, funny, and a bit sassy at times. He used to tell me I'm too good for the guys I'd date or find some reason not to like them, but not with Andrew!
Father of the Bride
My Daddy. He provided me with unconditional love and support throughout my childhood and now into my adulthood that I am forever grateful for. He was my soccer coach growing up, and he taught me that anything is possible, if you work hard enough for it. His incredible work ethic and stubborn personality also comes with the biggest soft side. He's a sucker for a good chick flick or romance movie. I can't wait to walk down the aisle with you, dad.
Mother of the Bride
The most beautiful person I know inside and out! This woman has a heart of GOLD and has shown me true unconditional love and support that Andrew and I will share with our own kids one day. People still think we're sisters, since she hasn't aged a day since 35. Love you momma!
Flower Girl
Enid came into the world in Feb. 2020 and is becoming such a bright little girl that we love seeing blossom. Enid is Meredith and Yih Pin's daughter, and we knew right away who our flower was going to be! You'll have a hard time not melting when this cute little girl comes walking down the aisle :)
Best Man
One of a kind, David has a special place in our relationship. He has been through all the ups and downs and there isn't anywhere else he should be other than by our side on this special day. A bonafide member of the farmily. From Amsterdam, to Greece, Bali, Malaysia and Evesham, we have traveled the world and he survived it all being the best mediator he could be. Make sure you keep an eye out for the dance routine and if you were wondering, Raspberry Pi is not on the menu.
Best Man
Yih Pin was the first friend that I made when moving to Washington. His unmatchable warm heart, open mind, and positive spirit are an incredible gift in our lives. Yih Pin has always encouraged compassion and understanding and he was one of the first who learned about how Chelsea and I met, so you should ask him about that night! His beautiful family, addiction to terrible Horror films, and unflappable ability to cook way too much food for dinner, are just a few of the things we love about Yih Pin. I am sure that any speeches or toasts won't be awkward at all. ;-)
Groomsman - Brother of Groom
Growing up, I think everyone should have a big brother. They teach you through their own pain and suffering, where the boundary lines are and soften up the parents so any siblings that follow have a cushy landing. Thanks to Jeff, what his 8pm curfews were for him, became 11pm for me. Without Jeff, I can't say I would play guitar, as it was his Metallica tapes that I would religiously sneak into my walkman or in the car on long road trips and laid down the foundation for my musical journey. Music is such a critical part of my life and happiness. Now, as the old man with TWO high school teenagers, I will need to lean on him heavily again, to smooth out the bumps of learning how to be the best husband and father I can. Thanks again Jeff for paving the way for the next generation! May the force be with you, always.
Groomsman
A creative force and light in the darkness. Nicholas and I have been on and through so many artistic journeys together. Meeting my sophmore? year in high school, we have been musical brothers for 20 years. He has an ability to push himself as well as those around him to explore the boundaries of our ability. Typically nothing is in the "comfort zone" when setting out to create art together and I can tell you that is where the magic happens. I hope you are able to find a moment to ask him about any number of our memories together and if you are in it for the long haul, thanks to Chelsea's suggestion, our two-piece metal-odic rock band Between The Low, is going to make it so weird, I doubt you will forget about this wedding reception any time soon. So grateful to have him and his wife Ciara with us during this supremely special time.
Groomsman
Cutest smile this side of the Mississippi. Aaron is yet another one of those special friends that you encounter along the journey. Meeting in High School, and sitting next to each other in band class, my bass clarinet brother and I have spent many a rehearsal holding down the low end of whater Eric Whitacre piece the conductor threw at us. Aaron, being the father of THREE young boys, all of which share the adorable smile you see here, is a great golfing teammate, new/used car shopping co-hort, and was always down to join a recreational sports league. Aaron was witness to my one and only Home Run, my countless sand volleyball aces, blocks and highlight reel digs, and was even there when I drove the green on a "short" par 5 (long par 4?). Ask him if I made the eagle putt. I might expect him to get up there and sing When You Wish Upon a Star at some point... Thanks so much Aaron for joining us here for this event!
Mother of the Groom
This is the Mom that did it all. Through all the above, my mom was steady, authentic, and always hopeful and loving. She always encouraged me to do what made me happy and didn't try to make me fit a certain outcome that she had in mind. She allowed me to be myself and I am so grateful for that. Thanks for all you did for us and continue to do. Appreciate you always embracing all of my friends and specifically for setting the standard for a warm, welcoming environment that is open to everyone. I am excited for you to move to WA in the coming years!! :-0 Love you Mom.
Step-Father of the Groom
Hands down the best 2nd Father anyone could ask for. You bring joy and light to my Mom and any room you are in. I cherish all of memories from the incredible number of dad jokes, convertible rides and beer tents, one-sided-fan golf outings and of course, Gunsmoke. Thank you so much for welcoming me and making me feel like I was wanted, since it wasn't me you fell in love with! You made it so easy for us to become a family and I wish that we lived closer so my family here in Washington could know your special gifts. I cannot wait to share this moment with you and I know that my, brother from another mother, Uriah has been watching over Chelsea and I and is guiding us to the best of his ability. Love ya Bill!
Ring Bearer
Our sweet baby girl gets to share this special moment with us when her humans say "I DO" Marley will be 14 on July 7th, and we are over the moon that she gets to spend our special day with us and our guests! We have no idea what to expect and know that she will bring lots of laughs, joys and kisses while she's there.
