Where The Magic Began 💫

What most people don’t know is that Faith actually turned Austin down twice before finally agreeing to a date. After the second no, Austin made one last offer: just go on one date—no pressure—and if she wasn’t interested afterward, he’d never ask again. Faith finally said yes, mostly to humor him. It was late summer, the air just starting to cool as fall crept in. Around that time, Faith had a routine she loved: heading downtown at sunset, parking at the top of a garage, backing her car up to the wall, and sitting on the trunk with a cold Mountain Dew in hand. She’d watch the sky change colors and listen to music—peaceful and perfect. Austin, knowing this was her comfort zone, planned their first date around it. They grabbed snacks and drinks from a gas station and headed to her favorite garage rooftop. His hope? A simple evening, no pressure—just connection. And it worked. Sitting on the trunk of Faith’s car, they talked nonstop, asking each other endless questions, learning about everything and nothing. As the sun sank lower and a quiet pause filled the air, Faith—always one to break the silence—playfully tossed a Sour Patch Kid at Austin. He threw one back. And just like that, the war was on. Candy flew through the air as they laughed under the twilight sky, forgetting any awkwardness and leaning into the moment. Austin threw the final Sour Patch Kid… but it vanished. They assumed it had flown off the edge of the garage and kept talking late into the night, eventually parting ways with smiles and racing hearts. The next morning, Faith got into her car—and there it was. A single, blue Sour Patch Kid sitting in her cup holder. Somehow, it had flown perfectly through her open window the night before. It was small, silly, and unforgettable. A candy-colored sign of something special. And that’s where the magic started. ✨
