FAQs

If you have any questions not answered here, please reach out to Maid of Honor, Bonnie, at 320-293-0296.
Question

What should I pack?

Answer

Sunscreen Bug spray Beach towel Water shoes/crocs Rain suit/rain poncho (optional but nice to have if we have to travel in the rain especially when we leave or arrive) Snorkeling gear (optional, they may have a couple sets to borrow) Toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, soap, etc)

Question

What should I expect?

Answer

There will be a lot of traveling overall. Much of the travel will be via boat so bring motion sickness remedies if you need to. The island has limited resources as well so please bring anything you may need. As far as food and drinks go, we will go grocery shopping when we get there but they do not have many of the brands or foods that we do. If there is a specific snack or food you want to have be sure you bring it from home.

Question

How much money should I bring?

Answer

The main costs will be food, drinks, and transportation. The amount of cash you bring should depend on how much you're going to drink and if you plan to purchase any souvenirs or food/drinks at airports. We will all chip in to pay from the bus from The airport in Belize City to the Marina, about $50 per person The hopper plan for when we leave to go home, $70 Food will be $20/day/person Beer costs $35/case

Question

What are the dates for the trip?

Answer

We will be flying out of Minneapolis on Saturday January 16th and returning Saturday January 23rd.

Question

Do I have to go for the entire week?

Answer

No, however the only nonstop flight is through Sun Country Airlines and they only fly from Minneapolis to Belize city on Saturdays. You are welcome to make separate travel arrangements if you please, but let us know so we can help make the right accommodations in belize.

Question

Where will we sleep?

Answer

There are a limited number of beds on the island. These spaces will be reserved for the wedding party and immediate families. Anyone is welcome to sleep in hammocks or on air mattresses if you please :) You may also choose to stay at one of the local resorts at your own expense.

Question

What day will the ceremony be?

Answer

We have a tentative date set of Jan. 20th for the ceremony, however anyone that has been to Belize knows that the weather changes frequently. We may change the date of the ceremony as we get closer to the trip and have a better idea of what the weather will look like.

Question

How do I buy my ticket?

Answer

We have not booked tickets yet. Our plan is to wait as long as possible in the event that we would have to cancel the trip due to covid. We are watching ticket prices and will buy them if they start too increase, but for now they have not been changing. If you would like to book with us when we do please contact Brandi or Bonnie. If you want to wait to buy your ticket, feel free just know that the prices may fluctuate.
