On the day before Christmas Eve, Aaron invited me and my best friend’s family to the Spring Lake Park holiday lights drive. Christmas has always been my favorite holiday to celebrate and I have dreamed about being proposed to surrounded by Christmas lights my whole life. He took me out to the infamous fully lit bridge and acted as if we were going to take a photo. That moment after a photo was taken before I could walk away, Aaron got down on one knee and said “gurl…you are the love of my life. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Lacey Jade Hanselman, will you marry me” with a tiny black box with the most beautiful ring inside in his hand and through tears I said yes to my future husband!
