Flight
If you’re flying in from abroad, you’ll likely arrive at José María Córdova International Airport (MDE), which is located about 45–60 minutes from Medellín city center. We recommend arranging transport in advance (see link)— there are taxis, airport shuttles, and Uber available price is around 120.000 COP. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions about getting into the city!
Flight
If you're flying into Bogotá before heading to Medellín, note that some domestic flights arrive at Olaya Herrera Airport (EOH) — a small and convenient airport located right in the heart of Medellín. These flights usually depart from El Puente Aéreo, a terminal separate from El Dorado International Airport but located nearby. Flying into EOH is a great option for quick and easy travel — you'll land just minutes away from most central hotels and neighborhoods. However, it has baggage limitations. You can order an Uber from the airport; it typically costs between 15,000 and 20,000 COP. Just a heads-up: Medellín has two airports, so be sure to double-check your arrival airport when booking your flights!

Travel Note
The easiest way to get around the city is by Uber. Just use your regular account — no need to download anything new. It’s safe, reliable, and often cheaper than taxis. We don't recommend to rent a car since Medellin is full of hills, and it may be a hassle to find parking.
