We got married on December 12, 2020 in Spokane, WA with our immediate family. Celebrating with all of you who have been a huge part of our lives is a MUST!  And its finally happening! June 2022 in San Diego!

Summer 2017: Tori was on the bus to YL camp with her Santa Barbara crew when she heard “what do ya think of this guy?”. Friend and matchmaker, Ashley Peterson was showing Tori a video Hans recently posted. In iconic Hans fashion, he was using a funny face-distorting filter and making up a song. Tori did not know much about this man, but had seen enough to be VERY intrigued. Fall 2017: “I’m heading to Spokane to visit my cousin!” Tori told Ashley. Ashley’s eyes bugged out and she began to scheme, “Dave and I plan on going this fall to see family… maybe we’ll all go at the same time and you’ll just have to meet our friend, Hans.” And that is exactly what happened. Nov 2017: The double date was set, Hans and Tori had little expectations of where the night would lead. They had pizza at The Flying Goat, shared a few pitchers of Coors Light, and magically found their way to a karaoke bar. The night ended with a cliche duet of Summer Lovin from Grease. Both Hans and Tori admitted to their friends the evening was wonderful, but knew they were not about to call this person who lived over 1000 miles away. Jan 2020: One night at the YL all-staff conference, Hans was hanging in a hotel room with some of his favorite people. Naturally, a group that loves Hans tries to “solve” Hans’ singleness. Matchmaker Ashley interrupts and plays a video of the karaoke night claiming to have already solved it. Unbeknownst to anyone, Hans texts Tori to laugh about the matter. One funny reply after another and virtual sparks began to fly. Within a few days daily texting conversations lead to daily video chats, and they never looked back. Feb 2020: Tori visits Hans in Spokane, officially dating Mar 2020: Hans visits Tori in Santa Barbara, “I’m falling in love with you, Tori” Apr 2020: They must live closer Tori will be moving this summer Jun 2020: Hans flies to CA and they drive north to bring Tori home Jul 2020: Hans asks Tori to be his wife Dec 12, 2020: The day they make it official
