If you're planning on spending some time over here either before or after the wedding, we recommend staying in the Mount Lawley/Inglewood area. It's nice and central to the CBD, close to us, and about 20 minutes away from the Swan Valley. If you're planning on just popping over for the weekend, we recommend staying in either Guildford or the Swan Valley itself so you'll be nice and close to the venue. There's plenty of caravan parks with cabins or motels throughout the Swan Valley, and a nice variety of motels and AirBnBs closer to civilisation.
We love your kids, but please keep them home for this one. The venue isn't overly kid-friendly and there's going to be lots of roaming food and alcohol.
The ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outdoors to make the most of the grounds at the winery. The ceremony area is a combination of pavement and grass, so just keep that in mind. We'll be moving inside for the reception before the sun sets and the cooler breeze sets in for the night.
There's plenty of parking available if you decide to drive, however we recommend taking advantage of both ubers and the open bar and leaving the car at home.
The worst part of any wedding is the formal, sit down dinner so we've opted instead to do a cocktail style reception with roaming food for the night, meaning you don't have to worry about menu selections before the night. Let either of us know about any dietary requirements though so we can make sure there's food available or set aside (in cases of allergies) for you.
Definitely! We've hired a gorgeous photographer to capture the ceremony so would like to ask people to refrain from taking photos during the ceremony, but after then is fair game. Our only request is that you don't upload pictures of the bride or groom to any social media until we've had a chance to do so ourselves. We're using the hashing #TeamRocketBlastingOff to keep track of our guest's photos across the various social media platforms.
Nope! There'll be an open bar for the night stocked with beer, cider, wine, and maybe even a few cheeky cocktails.
We're collecting RSVPs through our wedding website. Simply head over to the tab, put in your first and last name and it will prompt you to do the rest.
