Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Emily Hanrahan and Danny Carpenter
We're so excited to share some of our favorite Holland places with our favorite people!

Tunnel Park

66 N Lakeshore Avenue, Holland, MI 49424

A park with beautiful views and access to Lake Michigan. Perfect for an evening sunset. Danny proposed here so it is definitely a special spot. :)

Holland State Park

2215 Ottawa Beach Road, Holland, MI 49424

Many sunsets, beach days, and picnics have taken place here for us! If you're hoping to see the Big Red Lighthouse on the shores of Lake Michigan, this is your stop.

Lemonjello's Coffee

61 9th Street, Holland, MI 49423

Hands down our favorite coffee spot in Holland. So much so, we even took some of our engagement pictures here. LJs is right across the street from Pillar if you're looking for some caffeine before the ceremony. We recommend their drip coffee, cortado, and almond green tea muffins.

Our Brewing Company

76 East 8th Street, Holland, MI 49423

Another super special spot for us. If you're looking to grab a beer, chat, or play some games, OBC is the perfect place to do it. Our go to spot for late night homework in seminary, and so many hangouts with friends.

New Holland Brewing

66 East 8th Street, Holland, MI 49423

A great place to grab a meal. Make sure to try the pinwheels!

Windmill Restaurant

28 West 8th Street, Holland, MI 49423

A retro Dutch themed breakfast diner right on Holland's downtown strip. We've enjoyed many breakfasts here over the years. Danny suggests the hashbrown omelet and the chocolate carmel flavored coffee creamer!

Deboer Bakkerij South

380 West 16th Street, Holland, MI 49423

A Dutch bakery and breakfast spot that we love to walk to on the weekends. We recommend the toasted coconut coffee and any of their breakfast sandwiches.

Kollen Park

240 Kollen Park Drive, Holland, MI 49423

We've enjoyed walking the lakefront walkway at Kollen Park more times than we can count, often after grabbing a coffee at Deboers. If you're looking for a place to walk on the water, this is a great place to experience the views of Lake Macatawa (and of course the scenic Heinz pickle factory). :)
