Dress Attire

Formal & Modest Dress Requested We are honored to celebrate our wedding at Mosque Maryam, a sacred place of worship. We warmly welcome guests of all faiths and backgrounds and kindly ask that all attendees dress in a manner that reflects both the formal nature of the occasion and the reverence of the setting. While guests are not expected to follow Islamic dress requirements strictly, modest attire is respectfully required within the mosque. For Women Please plan to wear formal attire that also meets the following modesty guidelines: • Skirts or dresses should fall below the knee • Shoulders, arms, back, and chest should be fully covered • Clothing should not be sheer, form-fitting, or revealing • Shorts, capri pants, cropped pants, or mini skirts are not permitted Elegant long dresses, midi dresses with sleeves, or formal skirts paired with modest blouses are all excellent choices. For Men Men are asked to wear formal attire appropriate for a place of worship, such as: • A suit or dress slacks with a blazer or dress shirt • Long pants required (no shorts) • Shirts should be collared; sleeveless tops are not permitted • Attire should be neat, respectful, and not excessively casual A classic suit or dress slacks paired with a button-down shirt is ideal. Additional Notes If a guest arrives without appropriate coverage, the mosque has a limited number of wraps available to help ensure comfort and compliance while inside. If wraps are unavailable, guests may be asked to step outside and return with proper covering.

An Unplugged Ceremony - No Footage

Please Be Fully Present With Us To honor the sacredness of the moment and to allow everyone to be fully present, we kindly ask that our wedding ceremony be an unplugged experience. We respectfully request that no photos, videos, or recordings be taken during the ceremony and that all phones and devices be silenced and put away. Professional photography and videography will be in place to capture the day beautifully. Your presence, your attention, your energy, and your shared joy is the greatest gift you can offer us. We invite you to relax, be present, and experience this moment with us, free from screens and distractions. Thank you for helping us create an atmosphere of intimacy, reverence, and celebration.
