The story of how Diego and I met was in the summer of 2019. I just started working at La Mesa as a hostess. Every time I would be working, Diego would always come over to the hostess stand just to talk, and we would talk so much that he would forget he had tables to serve. Right when COVID happened, we both parted ways. We haven’t seen or heard from each other. 2023 rolls in, and I found him on social media. I decided to add him. He added me so quickly after that, and we spent the whole night texting each other to the point that I think I heard the birds chirping. Since then, we would hang out after work almost every day. We knew right from the start that we belonged together, how we matched our same interests, how we both try to compete on who’s funnier, which we all know is me, but don’t tell him that. How we both love to eat and we always support each other’s dreams. From there, we knew we were ready to take the next step and spend our lives together.
