Getting to Port Angeles The closest major airport is Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA / Sea-Tac). Once you land, you’ll make a beautiful trip across Washington to the Olympic Peninsula, and trust us, the journey is part of the experience! The easiest option is to rent a car and drive. Port Angeles is about a 2.5–3 hour drive from the airport. Head south from Sea-Tac, cross the Tacoma Narrows Bridge, and follow Highway 101 along the water and through the forest all the way to town. It’s an easy drive and the views get prettier the farther you go! If you want a true Pacific Northwest adventure, you can also take the Seattle → Bainbridge Island ferry. From the airport, head into downtown Seattle, board the ferry (about a 35-minute ride with incredible mountain and water views), then drive about 1 hour 45 minutes to Port Angeles.
