Where to begin??? I guess I can start by stating the obvious.... Which is how lucky I am to have found Hannah and how blessed I am for her wise answer to saying YES to a life together. One that will be filled with immense laughter, joy, adventure, and the occasional me leaving the seat up moments. But for now I'll circle back to the very beginning. I moved to Oklahoma in October of 2021, my initial thoughts to getting these orders was "What the hell is in Oklahoma, and what have I gotten myself into?" No offense to the many that are reading this that are in fact from Oklahoma, you would have the same reaction I'm sure if you up and moved to Michigan. But I digress, My first night here was of course a lovely welcome from a tornado which I have now grown accustomed to. So accustomed to them in fact I asked Hannah to marry me the night of a major tornado, talk about good omens right? Back to the task at hand, Hannah and I met in a bar where I beat up 8 dudes to win her favor in going on a date with me, after hearing this story Mr. Newman had no choice but to say yes when I asked for her hand. I'm just kidding but thats a cool story, one that I will forever tell our kids. The real bar in our story was an app named bumble, the app where the girl has to message the guy first, don't tell Hannah but I have no idea at all what she said to me or even what what I said to her. But it was pretty brief, a few days after I asked if she would like to grab drinks at Barrios fine Mexican dining, I of course was ill prepared and forgot to do laundry to the lead up of this date... Yikes was also my reaction and I'm sure hers as well because I opted for a gaudy golf shirt and golf shorts, keep in mind I don't golf, I was just making lemonade with limes. All that didn't matter however from the second she walked into the restaurant the conversation and laughter just flowed, to this day I look back at our first date in great pride. We drank way more than we should have and laughed like we were old friends. We ended the night with a kiss and from there I was hooked, "This girl is awesome!" I remember telling my then roommate Nick. As the dates progressed I quickly realized how truly special Hannah is. She brings to the table such a kind and loving heart while also being the funniest person in a room. From the first date to now as I'm writing this I truly find myself feeling like Im the luckiest man alive. I wish I could put into words how incredible dating Hannah has been, one of my fondest moments and one that still makes me chuckle to this day is.... Hannah and I once found ourselves in the middle of a blizzard 1,200 miles away from home. It was the middle of winter and we had to drop my brother off in New Mexico on our return our 7ish hour road trip turned into a 17+ hour gut wrenching ice road trucker episode. The winds were crazy we couldn't see the highway, Semi trucks and cars were wrecked every quarter mile, and not to mention Hannah had the flu. It would be easy to say it was a nightmare situation but not with Hannah at your side, a situation we had no business laughing at turned into a giggle fest in the car. We left New Mexico at 7:30am that morning and arrived home at 11pm. But to this day I would do it all over again just to be locked in a car with Hannah. I know I did that story an injustice but if you know Hannah you know exactly how she can make a nightmare situation into a walk in the park. For my final remarks I would like to thank everyone for have such an impact on mine and Hannahs lives. Without the love and support from our family and friends none of this would be possible. You all have instilled in us examples of what we look for in a partner and gave us lessons along the way that have shaped us in to the individuals we are now. I cant wait to marry Hannah and I cant wait to bring in the special day with ya'll God Bless
