Maid of Honor
My cousin by blood, but sister by choice since the day she was born. Even when things were tough, she stayed by my side and promised to never abandon me. She's my courage-filled Andes mint sister (sorry, inside joke) with spicy Mexican blood just like me! Faith is my little sister that I constantly look up to.
Bridesmaid
My first college roommate and immediate best friend! Alli and I have been close since the day we met at our high school state track meet as Seniors, and was the BEST freshman dorm roomie I could have asked for! We shared clothes almost every day, spent hours studying for exams together, and Alli is the reason I'm a published poet to this day.
Bridesmaid
My longest friendship since we were in middle school and I lived in Oklahoma, Emery and I met when we became locker partners for cross country/track. We were weird back then, and probably still are weird to this day (although less I hope)! From exhausting afterschool runs, to Sonic trips for iced tea, sharing poetry under the stars, Em has been a lifelong friend regardless of the distance between us.
Bridesmaid
Adam's sister and my future sister-in-law! Karolina keeps it fun ALWAYS, and I realized that the most when we were in Mexico celebrating Christmas! The perfect person to drink margaritas by the pool with, and will never fail to have a good story to make me laugh! I'm ecstatic to have an older sister, especially one like Karolina.
Bridesmaid
Alyssa is one of my friends that whenever we see each other, we can just pick back up where we left off. She's the clouds that give me an excuse to rain (I love the rain by the way), and her artistic abilities have helped mine grow immensely! She's always down to get into some trouble with me, and I've thought she's magical since the day we met when she came on a run when visiting Gunnison. She's one of the smartest, coolest, and most unique people I've ever met.
Bridesmaid
Tomah and I met also on the team at Western, but she had the intelligence to quit before me! Although that didn't keep our friendship apart. Even though we initially bonded through shared "poor experiences" (if you know you know), she has become a stable rock for me to cling to. Her passion and love for adventure and the thrill of life reminds me of the beauty in everything, and she is among the biggest supporters in my life. Fun-loving and goofy are the words I use to describe her, and I'll be honest, I'm my weirdest when I'm with Tomah (in a good way)!
Best Man
Philip and I have lived across the street from each other since we were about two years old, and he is by far my oldest friend. He's one of the smartest, most hard-working people I know. When he sets his mind to a task there is no doubt that he'll take every little detail into account and do it right. We have the kind of friendship that no matter how long it has been since we've talked or seen each other, we can pick right back up where we left off, and there is nobody else I can think of that is more suited to being my best man.
Groomsman
Although I haven't spent much time with Caden, I could tell from the moment we met that we would get along. The more I get to know him the more I see how intelligent, caring, and loyal he is. He's the kind of man that learns from his mistakes and never stops trying to improve upon himself. The thing I appreciate most about him, however, is how accepting he has been of me joining the family, and I'm lucky to have him as my future brother-in-law.
Groomsman
The first time I met Joey, I made a complete fool of myself, and I'm pretty sure he wasn't a big fan of me for a while. Funnily enough, we ended up living together a couple years later and we hit it off very well with our mutual love of lifting weights among other things. Joey is the kind of guy you can have a conversation with for hours on end about nearly any topic. He's incredibly intelligent, well spoken, true to himself, and brutally honest; he never pulls punches and is never afraid to tell you exactly what he thinks. I wouldn't be the man I am today without the lessons he's taught me, and to this day he is still one of the people I look up to and admire the most.
Groomsman
Amin and I met while working together as lifeguards at Lifetime Fitness. Amin (along with the rest of the Cllctd. crew), is one of the most motivational people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. It never ceases to amaze me how much effort and passion Amin puts into everything he does, from making music to boxing and everything inbetween. Every time we talk he emanates good vibes, and always gives me the motivation to do my best in everything I do. He's incredibly funny and goofy, but when he sets his mind to something he's a force to be reckoned with.
Groomsman
Lucas, also one of my longest standing friends. We met our Freshman year of high school when we joined the swim team. Whether it was in the pool or in the weight room, we always loved to compete and push each other to do our best. I still remember during our Senior year, he had been pestering the coach trying to convince him to swim backstroke in one race, but was never able to do it. Through sheer coincidence he got his chance during a relay where one of our teammates wasn't present for the start of the race, and Lucas had to take his place (and I took his place swimming breaststroke), and it was probably the most ecstatic I've ever seen him. Lucas, like me, is super goofy and is one of the few people that matches my energy. We don't even have to say anything to each other and we'll be on the same page. Some of my best memories are from the summer nights spent with Lucas and the rest of our group going out and getting into all sorts of trouble.
Groomsman
Ben, the epitome of Midwestern values. Our friendship was forged through our shared love of all things Midwest: Spotted Cow, Old Fashioned's, corn fields, humidity, ope's, and cheese (despite our lactose intolerance). Ben was there for the start of my relationship with Hannah Mae, and has been there throughout its wild evolution. He's the nicest person you'll ever meet, always up for helping anyone in need, and is by far the smartest (and definitely the funniest) person in our graduate cohort. He's the voice of reason when you need it as well as the man always down to have a good time when the situation is right.
