We first found each other on a dating app. We were both on it one night and said this is the last time I'm getting on this app if I do not find someone here then I will find them in person. Obviously we matched, Kaleb reached out and said Hey how are ya? I responded and we never stopped talking. I sent him my snapchat that night and said I was deleting the app. We snapped for a couple weeks and then I asked him if he wanted to meet halfway in person. He agreed (hesitantly). I came up with a backup plan in case I wanted to chicken out. We both woke up on May 24th and drove to Jonesboro, AR (never texting each other to confirm ahead of time). I pulled into a TJ Maxx and sent Kaleb my location. 10 minutes later he showed up, we awkwardly introduced ourselves and then I got in his car to go to the movies. We ate at Texas Roadhouse and hung out all day. I drove home that day head over heels. I didn't know it then but I'd just met my husband. Niether of us could wait too long to see each other so we planned another date for 6 days later. We met in Jonesboro again went to the park and sat by the lake and colored. Time went on we facetimed every night. We did long distance for two years. It was good though because I got to know him on a deeper level then I have ever known a person. It built a strong foundation for our relationship. God orchestrated every part of our relationship. I mean He had to for me to find someone from ARKANSAS. I am so excited to see where God takes us from here. He gave me my absolute best friend. My safe place. The only person who has seen the ugliest parts of me. Without him I don't know where I'd be.
We matched on a dating app on April 8th, 2023. We started talking and she told me that she was from a town I had never heard of, Paducah, Kentucky. I thought she was so beautiful and would be fun to talk to but never thought it would go further than that in all honesty. As time went on we started facetiming and decided to meet in person in Jonesboro because it was halfway for both of us. The day and date went amazingly for a number of reasons, mostly Hannah but a Kendall Diggs walk-off homer against Texas A&M in the SEC tournament didn't hurt. Anyway, I thought she was so amazing but still wasn't convinced we could make long distance work so we went our separate ways but kept talking. We met again about a week later and never really stopped meeting up after that. We became "official" on our fourth meeting when she came down to Arkansas to stay for a few days. After that we kept facetiming and meeting when we could to make long distance work. We constantly sacrificed time and mileage on our cars for each other (Hannah more than me in all honesty) and made distance work until we could be together finally. Hannah moved to Arkansas over the summer and I moved out to Corbin to be closer to her while she finishes school. Long story short, I think our story is one of sacrifice, commitment and risks. Hannah is the most amazing, sacrificial, committed and God centered person I know and without taking a risk to meet her and date over distance I wouldn't have met who God designed for as my wife. Without a doubt the Lord has His hands in our life together and continues to guide us to and for one another. I'm not sure why He allowed me to date out of my league or land such an amazing woman but me and our future children are so much better off for it.
