We're Getting Married!

Joey and I have technically known each other for most of our lives. We went to the same elementary school, the same high school, and somehow managed to spend all those years barely speaking to each other. Apparently, we were both a little late to the party. After high school, we started spending more time together and quickly realized we shared the exact same sense of humour. We spent most of our time making each other laugh, usually while everyone around us looked on in complete confusion. By the summer of 2019, our friendship had started to feel like something more. The funny part is that we had both secretly liked each other for quite a while and neither of us was willing to admit it. Joey eventually made the first move and sent me a message telling me how he felt. I immediately admitted that I felt the same way, and the rest is history. From that point on, we were pretty much inseparable. What started as spending every day together turned into sleepovers, which somehow turned into me practically moving in. Neither of us really questioned it—it just felt natural. Over the years, we've grown up together in a lot of ways—from navigating the challenges of COVID, graduating college, starting our careers and now figuring out adulthood together one step at a time. Through every milestone, challenge, and exciting new chapter, we've always been each other's biggest supporter and best friend. The more time we spent together, the more we realized how much we had in common. From our values and goals to our outlook on life, building a future together always felt like the easiest decision. Now, nearly seven years later, we're so excited to make it official and start this next chapter as husband and wife. We're incredibly grateful to celebrate with the people we love most and can't wait to see what comes next.
