Hannah: We met at our summer job when we were both lifeguards at a pool. Evan was a supervisor before I was and I would notice he would walk past me quite a bit to "check on all the lifeguards," but I later found out he used it as an excuse to talk to me. We worked together for two years before I started school at Indiana University where Evan was a junior. A few weeks into the semester, Evan invited me to get ice cream at Jiffy Treat, and after that first date we just knew.

Evan: Fast forward to three years later, we were back at Jiffy Treat for our third anniversary. I had planned this day many months in advance, but nothing could ever prepare me for how nervous I really was. Hannah was casually eating her ice cream, and I (an ice cream connoisseur) had to ditch my cone before I threw it up. I got on one knee and did my best to recite what I had written, and after the stammering and sweating subsided Hannah said "are you serious?"
