Once upon a time, all the way back to July of 2021, Wesley and Hannah were working in Epcot at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, FL. The two first caught each other’s eyes when Hannah, being new to the job, pretended she didn’t know how to make cotton candy. She asked Wesley, who was a trainer at the time, to show her how to do it. What Wesley didn't know at the time was Hannah had learned how to make cotton candy the day before by a co-worker lovingly called "grandma". The two talked throughout the rest of that cotton candy making shift, until Wesley decided to ask Hannah for her Instagram name. In true Hannah fashion, she said she didn’t remember and she really meant that. Wesley took that as the cue that this woman is not interested and he walked away. Hannah suddenly realizing what was happening, looked up her instagram name and went chasing after him. The two then began spending their days off from work touring the World of Disney theme parks together and they plan to keep touring the rest of the world together from here on out.

After booking a vacation to Oahu, Hawaii, Wesley decided it would be the perfect time to pop the question. He had planned to do this while hiking Diamond Head. The day they arrived in Oahu Hannah proclaimed, “We can do the hike tomorrow” and Wesley questioned, “Already?”, as he was not ready to propose on the first full day of vacation. With that plan no longer on the table, he came up with the idea to do the proposal at the courtyard of the downtown mall which was a space with lots of greens and adorned in soft lighting from tiki torches. He primed himself for the perfect night and was ready to finally ask the question, but upon arriving at the courtyard Wesley was surprised to see there was a full crowd and performance going on. He immediately realized that this was not the time, and had to yet again come up with another plan and wait for another day. Finally, the next day on February 10th, 2023 the traveling pair had planned to go to Hanauma Bay. It was 7 am and as the sun was rising, Wesley instantly thought, “this is the perfect time”. He gave a quick signal to their friends, Bree and Logan to have them help capture the moment and then he grabbed the ring. While Hannah was taking pictures of the view Wesley got down on one knee, and when she turned around...he finally popped the question.
