It all started back in high school, where our paths first crossed at La Jolla High. Hannah always insists that Troy had a crush on her from the very beginning, though they never dated at the time. For years, their connection remained just a passing acquaintance, and they went their separate ways as life moved forward. After high school, we each went off to college—Hannah to the University of Arizona, and Troy to San Diego State University. College came and went, and as we settled into our adult lives, we lost touch for a while. Until Troy moved to Crown Point, the neighborhood where Hannah had been living since graduating college. Suddenly, we found ourselves living just down the street from each other. It wasn’t long before Hannah started receiving the occasional texts or snapchats from Troy—casual and friendly, but nothing that seemed to go anywhere. But as much as we loved our friendship, it wasn’t until later that things began to shift. Then, in late 2019, something finally clicked. We started to reconnect in a more meaningful way. By February 2020, we found ourselves entering a relationship—and just in time to navigate a pandemic together. It was a wild ride, but we faced it side by side, growing closer through every challenge. In the summer of 2021, we decided to take the next step and moved in together. And in 2022, our little family grew with the addition of George, our incredibly well-behaved dog, who has brought even more joy into our lives. It’s been a beautiful journey, and we’re excited to see where the future takes us. Here we are, looking forward to spending the rest of our lives together, surrounded by love, laughter, and our perfect little family. We can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter and the many more adventures ahead.
