During the 2020 quarantine, Hannah's friend talked her into downloading a dating app called Bumble. After much consideration, she created a profile that was so filtered no guys popped up. It had to be a guy that was a true Christian, had the same views as her, not too much older, active, and loved animals, and the outdoors. Tanner had the app for a few months and found no one he was interested in, he almost deleted his account. After a few weeks, she matched with Tanner and the rest is history.

On a beach trip in Daytona with Tanner's family, the resort they were staying at was "hosting a scavenger hunt." The scavenger hunt was scheduled for 4:30 pm and clues were given out via text. Before the scavenger hunt, Tanner & Hannah went on a date at the boardwalk ate pizza, and walked along the pier. During the date, Tanner's family and the hidden Butner family were advising the last details that was going to lead to their proposal. Once they got back the 1st clue was received. Eight clues later they were lead to the last clue that ended with their favorite song "Seasons" by For King & Country and Tanner proposing on one knee.
