My senior year of highschool all of us friends would hangout at one house every weekend. One weekend this blonde headed boy showed up and I could’nt keep from staring at him (lol.) Next thing we know we were headed to prom together. Shortly after I graduated highschool, Tanner started a new job which required him to move down to south Florida. We went our seperate ways but always stayed very good friends. Four years went by and one date to Nona Blue later, here we are now parents of the prettiest little baby girl and on our way to be married. “What is meant to be will find its way.”
One Monday afternoon we were walking around the small town of Beaufort, NC window shopping and enjoying the marina view. The rain would not let up, we walked down to the North Carolina Maritime Museum where the guide led us up the “Widows walk.” (A widows walk is a platform built on a roof to have a view of the sea as the husbands came home in ships.) While it was still raining the guide was giving us a tour of all the buildings around us while Tanner dropped to one knee behind me. I said “OF COURSE!”
