The ideal spot for breakfast and lunch. Sophie and I regularly come to Poppy's on a Saturday or Sunday morning for the perfect latte, seasonal focaccia, and the best chocolate chip cookie you've ever had (hits all the right salty and sweet notes).
Best burger in the 'hood! Sometimes tough to get into on a weekend night, but if you are willing to wait it out, or sit at the bar, you won't regret it. Great neighborhood vibes and close to Brooklyn Bridge Park for scenic views of Lady Liberty and the Manhattan skyline.
In terms of fine dining, Bar Bete is Carroll Gardens' go-to spot. One of the best wine lists in Brooklyn. The tuna tartar toast changed our lives, and we hope it changes yours, too. Don't forget to order the cake at the end!!
It doesn't get much more New York diner vibes than Cobble Hill Coffee Shop. This place rocks when you have a mean hangover and you want some perfect diner staples. It's quaint, consistently good, and no one will look at you twice.
One of the best Italian delis in NYC! We are so lucky to have Caputo's a couple blocks from where we live. If you're in the mood for an incredible Italian sub, some homemade mozzarella that will have you coming back again and again, or a hearty soup on a cold fall day, look no further.
The best Thai food in Carroll Gardens (and maybe Brooklyn). But beware. Pretty much every dish is EXTREMELY spicy, so enter at your own risk.
A great New York slice.
