We wouldn’t be able to share this story without SJ’s little brother Jonny, and Hannah’s big sister from her sorority, Katie. If you two hadn’t taken a chance on love with each other, we wouldn’t be here! So cheers to them as we met at their wedding rehearsal. (Which means we actually met in a church like the good little Catholics we were raised to be). For Hannah though, there were definitely some signs leading up to our IRL meet cute. Like the old man (who reminded her of her great Uncle Hank) who stopped her on the street days before the wedding rehearsal and quoted St. Therese, “What matters in life is not great deeds but great love.” He then told her she’d meet the love of her life and she would feel it in her chest immediately. SJ had old people in his life prophesying this day too. One day while listening to his Grandmother Dolores complain about why he hadn’t gotten married yet, SJ asked her “Why is it so important to you that I get married?” Dolores replied, “Because you need someone to take care of you.” We all can agree on that one! After the wedding weekend, Hannah had felt that all knowing feeling in her chest. And 6 days later she had SJ visiting her in NYC. That feeling has only grown since then, even through all of SJ’s quirks. SJ never thought it was possible to love someone so much until he met Hannah. She has shown him how much better life is when you have a partner walking through it with you. After 18 months of dating in between Boston and New York, Hannah successfully transplanted to Boston where she made SJ’s apartment into a cozy home that they shared with Boo & Scout. Careers and life happened, and most recently Hannah found a beautiful house for them in Rhode Island to bring SJ closer to work. And more space for Scout and kitten Atticus to run and play. As well as a separate room for all the sports memorabilia (we hear this is a key to a happy marriage). The Connors Mansion, where our wedding is being held, holds a special place in our hearts, with SJ and Hannah’s grandfather, Joe, both being Boston College grads. While touring the grounds, a stag ran across our path, a true sign of new beginnings, and a wink from those no longer with us. Read on for details about what’s in store for the weekend! We are incredibly excited to celebrate our love with all of you! (PS if you are confused by all these wedding photos of us, we did a photo shoot for Roaring Fashions, SJ's mother's business, a few months before getting engaged. Don't worry we did NOT get married without you all! And yes, Sabrina who took these pictures will be our photographer for the wedding!)
