Anna has become the best friend of the bride since junior year of high school. The bride has deep respect and appreciation for Anna, with her confidence and zest for life. Through many strategic conversations, Anna discovered that Shelby and Hannah were interested in each other. She gave Shelby the gentle nudge he needed to ask Hannah out, likely not realizing her actions would result in marriage three years later. What a happy surprise it was!

The groom and Sam have known each other since the third grade and have gotten close through years of hiking trips, surf trips, and all types of adventures. They attended the same school through high school and will soon be reunited when Shelby begins at Regent University in the fall. The groom is extremely honored to have Sam next to him on the most special day of his life.

Charlie and Autumn were married in a beautiful ceremony in December 2017. Autumn is the dearly loved sister-in-law of the groom. She has shown through her wit and charm that she is an Allen through and through.

Charlie is the eldest brother of the groom. Charlie is a professional surfer, who has shared his passion for the sport with Shelby, through teaching and example. He is an excellent teacher and greatly admired by the groom and the bride.

Laura is a beloved sister of the groom. She is currently attending university and doing missionary work in Japan. The bride and groom are so thrilled that she could be with them on this special day. Laura has got a great sense of humor that often goes over the bride's head.

Andrew Lupinek

Andy has been a cousin and friend of the groom since birth. Andy and Shelby share the in the Allen tradition of attending Covenant College in Georgia. They have many happy childhood memories and continue to make lifelong memories to this day.

Renee Fail

Renee has been one the bride's best friends for nearly 8 years. Renee is everything the bride is not: athletic, artistic, tall. Despite these differences, the two share a passion for theater and music. Through the years, they have been thick as thieves, on and off the stage.

Josiah Baker

Josiah is the oldest brother of the bride. Early in the bride and groom's relationship, Josiah and Shelby bonded over hours and hours of building expertly engineered Lego ships and fighter jets. They are great friends and Josiah already considers Shelby a brother.

Anna has been a cherished friend of the bride's since 2nd grade. They were pen-pals for while, but separation didn't break their bond, for they wrote always in their secret code. The bride is so proud of her beloved Regent University graduate, elementary school teacher, and role model and is so happy to have Anna with her on this memorable day.

Bradley is a cousin of the groom. As diehard Cowboys fans, the groom and Bradley are bonded through their mutual love and appreciation (through sickness and in health, 'til death do they part) of the Cowboys.

Abby and the bride have been close friends since middle school. They are so close, the bride considers Abby's home her second home. United by fearless eating and love for food, the two take on any sushi place in the Tidewater area and beyond. Abby will always be the bride's number one foodie sister.

Ethan Monjure

Ethan is one of the groom's closest college friends. He's driven hours to visit the groom during summer break, to chill, talk, and surf. They consistently make new life plans together, like hosting podcasts and collaborating where they'll live after college so that their kids will be as close as they are.

Alyssa Venable

Alyssa has been a treasured friend of the bride's since 8th grade. When it comes to hiking, camping, and all things wonderful in nature, Alyssa is the bride's go-to outdoorswoman. She has impeccable taste in music, art, and memes. The bride, being a rather active sleeper, while sleeping over at Alyssa's house, kicked her so hard, the bride woke herself up. (Groom, be warned!)

Mark and the groom have been friends since forever. They're practically twins, besides their entire physical appearance. They've attended the same church together since birth, the same preschool, high school, and college. If friends are the family you choose, then Mark is definitely family.
