October 2015. Obama's second term. Two bright-eyed twentysomethings unknowingly move within one mile of each other. Boy meets Girl days later at a pickup soccer game. Boy excitedly tells his roommate that night that he "met a total babe at footy." Girl tells her roommate the same thing, but uses loftier language. Boy refreshes local Facebook soccer pickup page 20+ times the following day to ensure another meeting. Girl invites Boy to the Woods of Terror (via a more outgoing future maid of honor), so that they may be chased by strangers holding chainsaws. Boy and Girl converse deeply on the drive over about the topics that matter most, such as the unfortunate situation of being seated next to a smelly person on an airplane. Both gravely agree there are few worse fates. Boy and Girl never stop talking, and spend an exorbitant amount of time crafting witty text messages to one another. They cook dinner together, and start to refer to Netflix shows as "our programs". Boy somehow sees Phish live - more than 10 times. Girl's dog begins to view Boy as a father figure. In 2016, Boy and Girl move in together. In 2020 Boy proposes to Girl - Girl says yes. Boy loves Girl, and vice versa. The end. A film by M. Night Shyamalan.
