Shamar and I met in Owensboro, Kentucky on August 29th, 2020. We were both in the process of obtaining our undergraduate degrees when we met while also playing football and volleyball. Once Shamar graduated in 2022 we became a long-distance couple of 6 hours for over 2 years. Then soon after I graduated in 2023, Shamar and I went on a trip to Chicago, Illinois. On December 28th, 2023 Shamar took me by complete surprise and got on one knee while on a walk to the Riverwalk and asked me to marry him. After the proposal, on March 1st, 2024 we packed up and moved into our first apartment together in the city we met in, Owensboro, KY. Ever since that day in August of 2020, Shamar and I have gone on trips to multiple states, attended national sporting events, and fallen deeply in love.
