Our story starts in a town with not much to speak of aside from the lake effect snow and a community college carved into a had-been grocery store. It was in that college that a perfect love would prevail over a below zero windchill factor and feet upon feet of unrelenting snow. It was a classic example of he wanted her - she wanted to study. He was an English tutor who straddled the line between extroverted and invasive of personal space. He spotted a math tutor from across the room who was determined and beautiful. Their relationship became the living embodiment of the age old paradox - what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object? An epic battle took place over the next few weeks. She was adamant and steadfast, with a brilliant mind that wanted to maintain a 4.0, and he was resilient and unrelenting, holding a proud 3.0 and pursuing the object of his affections. He brought her food, and left gifts beside her textbooks. In time, she found him interesting, and agreed to dinner. The ending of the story that no one ever expects is when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object, and they unite because they had always been friends that never met. When the stars align, and you meet the person that you were always meant to find, all you can do is celebrate.
