Our Story!

Sean and Hannah met on their very first night at Carthage College at the Freshman block party in 2010. Hannah and her roommate met a group of guys who seemed to match their awkwardness, and they all eventually decided to ditch the block party and go drink soda in the dorms. Yep. They were that cool. They remained friends and would always catch up during walks to classes down campus drive. In November 2012, Sean asked Hannah to be his date to his fraterinity's Semi Formal at The Abbey. Little did they know they'd be heading back there 9 years later to get married! Throughout their time at Carthage, Hannah and Sean would spend time together running and biking along the path that led from their dorms to the lighthouse in Kenosha. While the jury is still out on whether or not they actually dated while they were at Carthage, they made it official in July 2014 on a trip to St. Croix. The first 2.5 years of their relationship consisted of lots of driving while Sean attended MSOE and Hannah was at Purdue University for grad school. They made the most of their weekends and school breaks together, and before they knew it Hannah graduated and moved back to Milwaukee with Sean. Since then, Sean and Hannah have spent countless hours laughing, running, going on adventures, attending concerts, and looking for Hannah's purse and/or wallet. Somewhere in between all that, they also bought their first home together back in Kenosha, discovered the wonders of Costco, and added three kitties and a pup to their pack - Chewie, Babou, Grover, and Checkers. On January 18, 2020, Sean lured Hannah into downtown Kenosha with the promise of ice cream and looking at the damage from some recent large waves. He took her to the spot where they used to run to, and just like that, they were engaged! Sean and Hannah can hardly wait to head back to the Abbey in October 2021 to celebrate with all their friends and family! They're so excited for their whole pack to share the same last name!
