Directions to Blue Heron Lake Picnic Area (formerly called Stow Lake Picnic Area).
There is a parking lot directly next to the picnic area, but it might fill up quickly with other park guests.
Other parking can be found throughout the park on the main roadways, including Blue Heron Lake Dr. that goes all around the lake. There is also parking on MLK Jr. Blvd which Blue Heron Lake Dr. connects to.
There is NO parking on JFK promenade, the road that runs directly north of the picnic area, as it is for pedestrians and bicyclists only.

Where parking is and is not allowed. Note that there is a large parking garage relatively near the picnic area and is easy to walk to and from.
