City Park Grill, one of Petoskey’s oldest buildings, was originally constructed in 1875. McCarty Hall, as it was then known, was a males-only billiard parlor that offered cigars and “intoxicating beverages.” The storied history includes tales of prohibition and underground tunnels, of young Ernest Hemingway, and ghost sightings. This local bar is a great place to grab a beer and a bite to eat!
Mackinac Island is a nationwide tourist destination and is only an hour drive away. Once you arrive to Mackinaw City, there is a ferry that runs regularly to and from the island. There is a beautiful bike path that runs along the perimeter of the island. Enjoy a few short hikes, beautiful views, the Pink Pony restaurant and tons of fudge!
