Harrisville, NY is located at the western edge of the vast Adirondack Park (the largest park in the contiguous U.S.!) and within a short drive to some notable historic and picturesque towns. If you're coming from out of town, we appreciate the work you are putting into coming out. (Shout out to our West Coast, Rocky Mountain West, and Southern friends & family!) Clayton, NY (1 hour west of Harrisville and 30 minutes north of Watertown) is a quiet waterfront village in the Thousand Islands region. The area is known for its scenic St. Lawrence River, scattered islands, and easy access to the water, including boat tours that visit well-known local castles like Boldt Castle and Singer Castle. The village has a simple, walkable downtown with riverfront views, small shops, and casual places to eat. You can find various river sightseeing tours that depart right from the area.

Sackets Harbor, NY (about 1 hour SW of Harrisville and 20 minutes west of Watertown) is a small historic village on the shore of Lake Ontario. The area is known for its scenic harbor, peaceful lake views, and War of 1812 history (with well-preserved battle sites and museums). It has a walkable downtown with waterfront restaurants, local shops, and cozy cafés. You can explore lakeside parks, tour historic landmarks, and access the water for sailing, kayaking, and sunset views over Lake Ontario.
