A little story on how Preston proposed to Hannah. On a chilly September afternoon Preston invited Hannah back to the same spot they had their first date at Lyman orchards back in the fall of 2018. Preston went with one intention, and that was to ask Hannah to marry him. During the process of trying to find the perfect spot, Preston was met with apple-less trees and a family of 4 with 2 screaming children in the only decent spot within the orchard. Preston then decided to take Hannah up to the pumpkin patch down the road where they have squash, zucchini, and pumpkins. Hannah wanted to get some squash for her mom, so she tasked Preston with helping. In the process of looking, Preston sees something sparkling on the ground and thinks "wow, who would drop a ring and not notice". Well, Preston looks closer and Lo and behold, IT'S HIS RING!!! Hannah quickly approaches with her carefully chosen squash, so Preston puts his foot over the ring with his boot. He needs to act fast so, he diverts Hannah's attention (which he has mastered) by pointing out these absolute gigantic squash that nobody will ever actually use. Hannah went to go look, so Preston quickly picked up the ring praying he didn't break it and put it back in his pocket. After his internal freak-out, Preston tries to lure Hannah (not in a Bundy type of way) up to the hilltop overlooking the valley by saying "there might be some good spots for pumpkins up here". Thinking Hannah would just follow along, she says "yeah.. doesn't look like there's a lot up there".... After finally getting her to the spot, he suggested that they take a selfie at the top. Hannah takes out her phone and Preston stands behind her. After flipping her screen to selfie mode, she notices Preston isn't standing behind her (because he is on one knee waiting for her to turn around). Instead of turning around she just says "what are you doing?? get back in the camera..." all while Preston is hardcore face-palming internally. After 2 different locations, losing the ring, and trying to steer her to the correct place, Hannah finally turns around, and Preston is able to ask the question he's been waiting to ask her since the day they started dating. Obviously she said "yes!" or else you wouldn't be reading this 3,000 letter essay on how it all happened on a page specifically for their wedding, haha!!
