Hannah and Orion share a fairly typical love story (at least for the first half...) They met at college, both studying School Wellness Education at the Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania. They quickly became friends as they served on the PHE Departments Executive Board together, as well as working side by side in the always exciting department office. The more they spent time together, the more they realized they had in common: Both came from family-first households with strong morals, patience, intelligence, and a strong idea on what they wanted to do professionally and a matching ideology on why they wanted to do it. During the Fall 2019 Semester, the relationship slowly took a turn that involved romance, and on a blistery December night at Phipps Conservatory in Pittsburgh, PA, their relationship truly began. Everything was great, nothing could be better. Fast forward to March 2020, and as the Pandemic began, the coupel were seperated for their first real duration of time (with Hannah living in Dayton, OH and Orion in Mt. Lebanon, PA.) The separation and overall anxiety of the Pandemic took it's toll on them personally, as it did everyone, but their love never faltered. Over the next few months, Orion and Hannah would take turns making the nearly four-hour drive to visit each other. And even with those trips becoming more and more regular, with the time they spent apart growing each time, their love only became stronger and larger. The long drives continued for the summer months of 2020 until Orion took a job with Fairfax County Public Schools, a major school district in Virginia just outside of Washington, D.C. The travel moved from four-to-seven-hour drives, one way, but neither Orion nor Hannah faltered in love or willingness to make that trip just to see the other. These circumstances continued through the rest of 2020, and for the next 15 months after that. For a relationship that started with seeing each other every day, the long-distance was taxing, but never difficult. Hannah and Orion both saw the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow from the beginning and remained committed to each other during those long stretches of time away from each other. During Thanksgiving Weekend in November 2021, Orion and Hannah's lives changed forever (the first of many such occurrences to come over the next few months,) when they were engaged in front of the families. The ring meant so much to both of them, as it was a commitment and a trophy of the hardships they had faced while continuing a relationship, from separate states, during a pandemic. The hardship of Orion being two years the elder of Hannah, with graduating and moving before Hannah entered her Junior year at Slippery Rock University. All of the hardships didn't matter anymore, because now they had physical proof that their love will withstand any obstacle for a lifetime. Hannah moved to Washington DC to join Orion once again in June 2022, shortly after accepting a role within Fairfax County Public Schools. They moved to Del Ray, VA, in September 2022 in order to truly begin their life together - in a home they may call "theirs"... To Be Continued...
