We met in September of 2015 at Emmanuel College during the first couple of days of our freshman year. As our friendship grew over the years, we soon became inseparable. I mean it. Inseparable. Nick even joined me for my weekly Saturday cleanings, and by junior year he knew Saturdays were not the day to walk on the freshly mopped floors, but the day to walk around my dorm room on the bed, chairs, and the desk, as if the floor was lava. Though truth be told anywhere he walked on Saturday he knew he would get yelled at, he still proceeded to show up each Saturday. Guess that was just practice. - Hannah

On New Year's Eve 2021, we went to our favorite Sushi restaurant in Newport Rhode Island. Unfortunately for us, it was raining almost the entire day. After finding out that the first location where I wanted to propose was on private property (and Hannah was too scared to follow my plan), I had no choice but to improvise to keep the secret. I remembered there was a beach nearby so I inconspicuously pulled over on the side of the road and told her to get out of the car. After waiting for a perfect moment, I decided it was now or never. I got down on one knee, nearly dropped the ring inside the ocean (don't propose on a rock wall in the middle of a storm), and asked her the question. - Nicholas
