Our Story

Our story started in July of 2017. We were both hanging out with a couple of mutual friends one night. After many all-nighters talking on FaceTime, I decided to ask him to go to lunch with me. After that "date," we began to hang out almost every night riding around town for hours. I told him we wouldn't have much time to hang out during the college semester because I was just beginning nursing school, but he was persistent and would drive every night to Troy to come pick me up and sit in random parking lots and talk for hours and hours (sometimes until the sunrise). After one month of both of us driving back and forth between Enterprise and Troy, he was about to go on a week long trip and said he "couldn't go a whole other week without asking me to be his girlfriend" on August 31st at 3am. Many miles, movies, restaurants, and crazy experiences later, we decided to visit his brother and sister-in-law in Houston, Texas on spring break of 2019. On Thursday, March 14th, 2019, we all decided to go out to a nice dinner in downtown Houston. We stopped to park and spotted this waterfall in the middle of downtown Houston (Gerald D. Hines Waterwall) and Brooke insisted we "take pictures," only for me to turn around to Michael on one knee and very nervously asking me to marry him. He swears I took 30 minutes to answer with a "yes," but it couldn't have been more perfect.
