Christmas is my favorite holiday. Matt recommended we go see the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree on Christmas Eve and then go out for Chinese food. There was a lot of traffic around Rockefeller Center, which was no surprise. On our trek to get to the tree, I got discouraged and said that if it was going to be a pain to get to see the tree, we could always come back after Christmas when there would undoubtedly be fewer crowds. Matt assured me that we were close and that we had made it through most of the foot traffic. We managed to find an area with a great view of the tree and no too many people. Matt took a commemorative photo of me in front of the tree to mark the occasion (what I thought was my first time in Rockefeller Center seeing the tree). After, when we stood there admiring the decorations and our surroundings, he started making what I knew was "the speech" and everything became a blur. Once it hit me what was happening Matt was down on one knee presenting me with my engagement ring and asking me if I would spend the rest of my life with him!
