Il Poggiarello - Muralia
Coming directly from our Villa Host: The address is Muralia - Il Poggiarello via del Sughereto 58036 Roccastrada As we are in the countryside, to come here without getting lost find in Google maps: MURALIA in Roccastrada. Muralia is our wine estate. You don't have to go further than the parking!!! Before the parking, you find the main gate (that one with terracotta balls on the columns). Ring the bell.
Flight
Florence, Pisa, or Rome
From Rome drive on SS1 Aurelia direction Livorno until the second exit of Braccagni; follow to Montemassi. At the end of the long straight road, turn right to Roccastrada-Siena, until you see the blue sign "Il Poggiarello Agriturismo" Rome is the only airport that has direct flights and is about a 2 and a half hour drive to the villa.
Rental Car

Please know that if you plan to rent a car arrangement to legally drive there are required. - https://it.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/local-resources-of-u-s-citizens/transportation-driving/ When travelling from an airport, options include renting a car, using public transport, or hiring a private driver. Uber is not available in Roccastrada. If you do choose to rent a car and are uncomfortable driving manual, make sure you request an automatic upon reservation, as manuals are more common in Italy. For getting around Roccastrada, it may be best to use a rental car/carpool with guest or utilize a private driver. There are many options to rent a car at the Rome Airport with some familiar American rental car companies. We reccommend renting a car to travel to the Villa as there isn't public transportation that will get you to the Villa and Ubers are not as abundant in the area around the Villa.
