Our story begins in January 2021 with a classic covid meet cute... "Hey, this is Hannah from hinge. I'm soo sorry I don't have my notifications on and totally forgot to check the app again." Hannah is about to match for residency, which will probably take her away from Chicago. Meanwhile, Mark is swiping on people most likely to have received an early vaccine. Love is clearly in the air. First date is set for Lazy Bird. Mark thinks he's being stood up, but he has mistakenly arrived at the bar one hour early. Despite the scheduling snafu, they hit it off. Mark thinks Hannah is gorgeous. Hannah thinks Mark's beard is too long. For date number 2, Mark invites Hannah to the Art Institute of Chicago. Once plans are finalized, he realizes that no general admission is available. Not wanting to reschedule, Mark arrives at the date as the newest sustaining member of the museum. For the third date (Hannah will insist it is their fifth), Mark invites Hannah to come meet him in New Orleans. Both sides are freaking out when Hannah unexpectedly calls Mark's bluff. Mark: "There's a chance I stick around through Saturday for a [CENSORED] boil. Want to join??" Hannah: "If you're not kidding, I would go" Mark: "I'm like 80% serious" Upon arriving in NOLA, Hannah makes a point of letting Mark know that people are tracking her location. They have a great first trip together. A short while later, Hannah learns that she's matched in Chicago, and they become boyfriend and girlfriend (ooooh) In 2023, they move in together. In 2024, the stork blesses them with a pitbull-chihuahua mix with a heart of gold and a head full of generalized anxiety. In 2025, they get engaged. And on May 24, 2026, they're getting married!
