These are such crazy and uncertain times, and hosting or attending a wedding in the middle of a pandemic is less than ideal for all of us! For logistical reasons, we have decided not to postpone the wedding. That said, we understand that everyone has a different level of risk and concern, and we completely respect whatever decisions you make to prioritize your health and the health of those around you — even if that means you can't attend. For those of you who can attend — thank you! It's such a gift (that we no longer take for granted!) to be able to celebrate one of the most important days of our lives with you. Like you, we are tired of the "social distance" and can't wait to see you! Please note that we have to comply with state and venue rules and regulations, including mandatory precautions and potential guest list restrictions. We will post updates to this website of any changes that affect you, so check back periodically. We will contact you personally with any major changes.
Social distancing - Hey, this is our WEDDING DAY! You bet we're down for hugs and Latino-style air kisses. but if you want to social distance, we support you in doing that. Just let us know! Face masks - You must wear a face mask when interacting with bartenders, servers, and we recommend you wear them when interacting with other guests outside of the family and friends you see on a daily basis. If you have your favorite face mask (hey, there are some pretty stylish ones these days!), go ahead and bring it! Otherwise, we will provide disposable face masks for you:) Hand sanitizing - We will provide hand sanitization stations throughout the space for you to use as often as you like. Also, I have seen some of your purses (DenHoeds!), so I know you could fit a couple (or 100?) hand sanitizer bottles in there. Whatever you need! - If you want to take any specific personal precautions, we support that! Email one of us to let us know if we can support you in any way.
Catering staff will be required to wear face-masks at all times, as well as gloves throughout the event. High touch areas will be sanitized before and during the event. The venue is thoroughly cleaned after every event.
October in Chicago is beautiful! During the day it is usually sunny and cool, anywhere from 50 to 65 degrees. Evenings are colder, typically in the mid-40s. Bring a few sweaters and a jacket and umbrella just in case. Latinos and guests from Florida, bring your winter coats and hats;)
We really love your kids! But with a limited guestlist and Covid-19 precautions to follow, we have to say adults only. Besides, we want our wedding to be your night off!
If your invitation says your partner's name or “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you so that we can keep to strict Covid-19 guestlist restrictions.
Semi-formal / cocktail attire. But be you; be comfortable:)
