Hannah and Lance’s story started at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. During sophomore year they met through mutual friends and found themselves in the same circles. They were two Badgers enjoying their time together, never realizing that they were laying the foundation for something bigger. In 2017, after graduation, Hannah moved to Denver for her career. A year later, Lance moved to Northeast Colorado for his career, or as Hannah would claim, to follow her. While they stayed in touch through Kentucky Derby parties, Saturday brunches, and other shenanigans with friends, it wasn’t until many years later that the stars aligned. The turning point came on the volleyball court. When Hannah’s team was short players, she reached out to Lance to join the squad. What started as a weekly game turned into the highlight of their week. As they started to reconnect further, Lance asked Hannah on a date to walk to Wash Park Grille for dinner. Since then, they have been nearly inseparable. Whether they’re hitting a golf course, skiing the Rockies, or watching the Green Bay Packers on a Sunday afternoon, they’ve found that life is just better together. This past November, Lance planned a surprise getaway to Aspen. While hiking through the Maroon Bells, Lance dropped to one knee and asked the big question. Hannah excitedly said, “YES!” We are so incredibly grateful for the journey that brought us from Madison to the Rockies, and we can’t wait to celebrate the start of our married life with all of you!
