We met through mutual friends our junior year of high school. For a long time Kyle was just a boy in my friends 1st hour and I was just a girl that hung out in the classroom with her friend before class started. The first real time we spent together was at a church youth event in cedar point. Me being the awkward teenager that I was was very nervous around Kyle (obviously because I was crushing) and Kyle being the teenage boy who was apparently used to every girl acting crazy about him (or so he says) made for a interesting weekend. See what happened was I had a crush and was awkward around him so I just refused to talk to him and that hurt Kyle's ego a little bit (he was not a fan of the hard to get bit). After that weekend we did not talk again for a few months. Randomly one day we just started talking and have not stopped since then. The first part of our relationship started right at the beginning of Covid so our time together was lots of fishing and hiking. We have had our ups and down, we have experienced college and our fair share of breakups but we have also shared many date nights and countless laugh until we cry moments. Four years later and the time finally came where I was really starting to hint at a ring, little did I know Kyle had been planning it for months and literally everyone close in our lives knew about it...except me. A little background, Kyle has this spot in Highland where he likes to hunt, it is a public park so he will suddenly get the urge to go check on it for whatever reason. We have gone on multiple other occasions, so when that time came and he asked to go check on the spot before church I did not expect a thing. I was so clueless that I almost did not even get out of the car when we got there. But I obviously did and then Kyle just dropped down on a knee and proposed, I was speechless (in a good way). That day was the best day ever, going back and telling our families it finally happened is a memory we will hold onto and talk about forever. As we countdown the days until our wedding we tend to talk a lot about key moments in our relationship and appreciate everything we have been through together both the good and bad. We are so excited for the future to come for us and we are so grateful for everyone who celebrates with us!
