Things To Do

Living in Southern California has been a dream! We are excited to show off our home to you all. Below are a few of our favorite places and activities.
Temecula Wineries

Temecula Wineries

Temecula Valley is Southern California's wine country. There are nearly 50 wineries to choose from, most boasting award-winning wines. They are all located relatively close together, making it easy to hop from tasting to tasting. Some of our favorite wineries include Wilson Creek, Ponte, and Robert Renzoni. Check out the winery map in the link below!

Old Town Temecula

Old Town Temecula

Old Town is a historical district of Temecula that is a blend of rustic Western-era buildings with modern shops & restaurants. Spend some time walking the wooden boardwalks, browsing specialty shops and grabbing a bite to eat. We recommend dining in at either 1909 or Crush & Brew.

Hot Air Ballooning

Hot Air Ballooning

Schedule a sunrise hot air balloon ride to get the most breath-taking views of the Temecula Valley. Flights are available all year round, but beware of the possibility of cancellations due to windy mornings. Vouchers are often issued in lieu of refunds.

Golf

Golf

If you are anything like the groom, you'll be itching to schedule a tee time on this trip! While Southern California has many course options, three options nearby the venue are Temecula Creek, Crosscreek and Journey at Pechanga.

Pechanga Resort Casino

Pechanga Resort Casino

Feeling lucky? Head over to the casino at Pechanga Resort to test your luck at Slots, Blackjack, Poker, Craps, or Roulette.

Stone Brewery, Escondido

Stone Brewery, Escondido

If are traveling through the SAN airport, it is likely you will pass through Escondido on your way to or from our wedding venue. If you love craft beer, then we recommend making a pit stop at the Stone Brewing gardens. Get tickets for a tour or simply walk the beautiful grounds while enjoying a cold brew!

Oceanside

Oceanside

You can't come to the SoCal without visiting the beaches! Just 40 minutes from our venue is the laid-back beach town, Oceanside. Check out their visitor's site in the link below.

USS Midway Museum

USS Midway Museum

The USS Midway Museum is a historical naval aircraft carrier museum located in downtown San Diego. Activities for all ages including self-guided audio tours, theater, flight simulators, climb-in aircraft, ejection seats and cockpits, guided tours of the bridge and more.

San Diego Zoo

San Diego Zoo

Don't miss you chance to visit the #1 zoo in the world! It is truly a must-see destination for all ages. It spans over 100 acres, so be prepared to spend at least 3-4 hours at the park. Plan your visit with the link below!

Little Italy, Downtown San Diego

Little Italy, Downtown San Diego

If you're planning to spend time in downtown San Diego, we recommend making a stop in Little Italy. Not only is it a charming, lively neighborhood but it is also San Diego's most dynamic food & drink scene. Check out a list of some of the top restaurants in the link below & make reservations in advance!

Petco Park, Downtown San Diego

Petco Park, Downtown San Diego

Although our loyalties are to the St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago White Sox, we'd be lying if we said we weren't also Padres fans from time to time. Before heading to your seat, quench your thirst with michelada and grab either a Board & Brew sandwich or Hodad's burger. Grab tickets to a game below (2023 schedule TBD)!

La Jolla

La Jolla

This seaside village is one of the most popular beach destinations in California. It offers a wide range of accommodations from luxurious hotels to casual coastal retreats, along with museums and art galleries, one-of-a-kind boutiques, great restaurants and a slew of outdoor activities.

Palm Springs

Palm Springs

About 1.5 hour drive from our wedding venue is the desert retreat of Palm Springs. Known for its stylish hotels, great weather and stunning views, it's a wonderful place to visit while in Southern California. Just beware of the summer heat!

Joshua Tree National Park

Joshua Tree National Park

Only a 2-hour drive from our wedding venue is Joshua Tree National Park. It is a breathtaking park that offers many hiking trails and camping sites. While in the area, be sure to check out the town of Joshua Tree - a weirdly wonderful place.

Speakeasies, San Diego

Speakeasies, San Diego

In our 3 years living in San Diego, we've discovered a variety of speakeasies hidden amongst the city. Some accommodate walk-ins while others are strictly reservation-only. Here are a few of our favorites: - Noble Experiment - located downtown in East Village - Young Blood - reservation only, curated 3-course cocktail experience, located downtown in East Village - False Idol - tiki bar, located downtown in Little Italy - Raised by Wolves - located in UTC Mall in La Jolla - The Grass Skirt - tiki bar, located in Pacific Beach
