Curacao is not part of the United States so you will need a passport. Curacao also requires all travelers to fill out an ED form to enter the country. This is required by all travelers, and takes about 90 seconds to fill out. This must be completed 72 hours prior to arrival on the island. You can find the link here: https://curacaoimmigrationcard.us/application/
For the rehearsal dinner - cocktail attire! For the ceremony - keep in mind that Curacao is very warm! We suggest opting for a lightweight, flowy dress, think boho beachy! For men, we suggest a lightweight linen or cotton suit, or a breathable dress shirt.
We have provided transportation for the ceremony itself. Please reach out to us for details on timing and pickup. Additionally, the suggested hotels on our website are within walking distance from the venue! Curacao does have taxis if you do not feel comfortable walking. If you opt to rent a car, there is free street parking outside the venue.
We suggest renting a car if you plan to do any exploring! The island has tons to offer. The easiest app to use to navigate the island is called maps.me . It is a free app that has all of the roads in Curacao downloaded. There is public transportation in Curacao and we picked a rehearsal dinner, venue, and accommodations all downtown so it is not necessary, but recommended! If you do rent a car, the gas stations only allow cash payments (USD is accepted everywhere on the island) and there are ATMs at every gas station.
We kindly ask that you note this on your RSVP so that we can be as accommodating as possible.
Please feel free to reach out to either of us! We are beyond excited to share our happy island with our closest friends and family, please do not hesitate to reach out to us with any questions about travel, Curacao, etc.!
