Niagara Falls, one of the natural wonders of the world, is well worth the visit if you have extra time during your stay. The U.S. side of Niagara Falls offers some of the closest and most dramatic views of the falls. Guests can explore Niagara Falls State Park, walk through Cave of the Winds, ride the iconic Maid of the Mist, and visit Goat Island for scenic overlooks and walking paths. It is also a special place for us, as Hannah took Kenneth to the U.S. side of Niagara Falls the very first time he came to Buffalo to visit her, and the two of them walked around the park together. It is a beautiful spot to take in the scenery and enjoy one of the area’s most famous landmarks.
The Canadian side of Niagara Falls is known for its sweeping panoramic views and lively tourism district. Popular attractions include Journey Behind the Falls, the Niagara Parks Power Station, the Butterfly Conservatory, Clifton Hill, and the Niagara SkyWheel. It’s a great choice for anyone wanting to experience one of the area’s most well-known amusement parks. Be sure to check the park calendar for hours, tickets, and water park availability before visiting.
For one of the best views in the city, head to the top of Buffalo City Hall. The observation deck offers panoramic views of Lake Erie and downtown—and it’s free to visit.

This location is especially meaningful to us because it is one of the places where Hannah and Kenneth shared breakfast the first time Kenneth came to Buffalo to visit Hannah.
