Our Story

Kelly and I met through mutual friends in 2005, when I was a freshman in college and he was a senior in high school. It took a while to grow on each other, but eventually we made a friendship work. On April 25th, 2011, we met for breakfast at Denny's in Klamath Falls. He was in town on a break from working at the lodge on the Rogue, and I was up from San Diego visiting my family. After that, Kelly flew down to San Diego to visit me twice over the summer, and on the third trip, he stayed. We were both working for Legoland and living that California coastal lifestyle for a few years. Eventually we made our way back to Oregon. We did Grants Pass, Medford, Gresham, Portland, and now back to Klamath Falls. On August 18th, 2018, we were kayaking on the Sprague River, and we stopped at my favorite shallow bend on my parents' property to fish. But instead of fishing, Kelly sat me down on a rock in the middle of the river, and asked me to marry him. In our nine plus years together, we've been through what feels like it all, which makes looking at the future not scary in the least bit. We've been partners through a big chunk of our lives, and it only gets better from here. We have a lot of big things coming up in 2020, and there's no one I'd rather have by my side. We were planning to get married in front of our closest family and friends on May 23rd, 2020, in Newport, Oregon, at the Oregon Coast Aquarium. A place that we love, surrounded by the people we love. Due to COVID-19, our plans have had to change a bit. Our tentative plan is to have a small ceremony in September, and hopefully a big reception celebration when everything starts to get back to "normal". Thank you all for your support and understanding. We love and appreciate you so much!
